There is a nominal $300 USD charge to pay for the new website SSL certificate required and content transfer. You will not be paying for the underlying technology platform as this is provided as part of WSI commitment to evolving your website.
WSI is building you a new website under a new, more robust platform. WSI will launch your new website under the same website address (URL) you have today, replacing your old website, and transferring much of the content from your old website to the new website. See next question to understand what content is not transferred. Your new website will also include an SSL certificate so that the administrative portion of the site can securely hold client credit card data. Important Note: content from your current home page will not be transferred as the new website has a specially designed home page that is focused on the client and key “calls to action”.
What is not included in the Rebuild/Transfer program?
WSI will not transfer or add content associated with the administrative modules, as you will have the ability to add content to these modules once your new website is live. These include testimonials, news, banners, photo gallery, events, and the online forum. Important Note: Please be sure to save this content from your old website as it will be deleted once the new website is launched.
There will be a designated area on the home page that can be modified. You will be able to replace the existing text with your own text within that designated area and link to an internal page which you can create. Keep in mind, a well-designed home page focuses on the prospect, not your company.
You must complete the Rebuild & Transfer Application and fax it to the number provided on the form. The upgrades will be placed in a queue and completed on a “first come, first serve” basis.
What if I have highly customized pages of content?
WSI will evaluate customized pages on content on a case by case basis. Depending on the level of customization, additional charges may apply to the content transfer.
WSI will keep the monthly fee at $145 for all rebuild/transfer clients, which is less than the monthly fee for new signups. As mentioned earlier, this new website is setup to generate passive revenue through Amazon and it can securely collect credit card payments for events, allowing you to save money by eliminating the need for a merchant account - a savings of $25 to $35 per month.
What if I am not currently paying for the eCommerce option on my existing website?
This is no longer an optional component. The new website platform provides advanced Event Registration management & payment collection, which integrates into the solution the secure collection of credit card information. Because this eCommerce component is not optional, the base monthly fee for all new website transfers will be a standard $145. This is less than the standard monthly fee and is only being offered as part of this Rebuild & Transfer program.
Yes. This rebuild & transfer offer is only good for 2008. Any requests to move to the new technology platform after 12/31/2008 will be treated as a new website request. This means the full cost of a new website will apply.
